Cuz U Gotta

Sometimes people don't understand that they gotta treat themselves right. What I mean by that is that I reward myself for meeting my fitness and eating goals each week. Like right now while I'm blogging I'm sitting in the chair Kingdom Nails getting a pedicure and then a manicure not cuz I want to look cute (OKAY I lied, I wanna look cute) but because I meet my fitness goals for the pass three weeks and this is my reward for doing what I was supposed to do. Then next week if I do what I'm supposed to do I will be rewarding myself with a sports massage from Relax (www.relaxtampa.com) cuz my body earned it. Everyday that I was training last week I had to motivate myself (along with my fit bottom girls) to get my butt moving and putting the time in needed at the gym. In the back of my head i kept telling myself that if you make it to week three there is a pedicure and a manicure in your future CUZ U EARNED IT.
I think that all of us should be gving ourselves rewards when we meet our mini goals or just for staying on track. Like I know many people say i can't afford it or I don't have the time. BUT you found time to work out and now that your eating better I know you got some extra dough. So treat your body you only get one and your asking it to do all of these things so "Y'ALL" can be healthy then reward it CUZ U GOTTA

Thank God I made it

So today again when I went into the gym I had to motivate myself to get thru the workout. But not only to make it thru but to get to the gym an workout. I didn't get home until about 4:00pm an I had to head over to Westshore mall and then back over to my house. The amazing thing why I didn't just pull into my driveway and walk up this stairs and go to sleep was because I actually had on my workout clothes. I swear that make a HUGE difference when you are dress for the workout. Also since I was still not filling like running after I got there I put in my Isreal Houghton cd (Live in South Africa) and went to town the music truly helped me to get thru the workout. It was amazing because it reminded me of the time that I was running in my second half marathon an my knees were in FIRE and I stopped to pray and then put on my favorite gospel cd and it literally helped me to finish my race.

get me to the GYM

Today was a half day at work but i swear i put in a full days worth of work. I didnt get home until 5:00pm and then in forty minutes i was gone and off to the gym.

BUT for some reason i felt that I was literally fighting with my mind today to get to the gym and then workout. Everyday I am doing ChaLean dvd program for my weights and at the end of today dvd she said how i felt before i worked out today. Dont remember how you feel before you start the workout, remember how you felt after the workout. I am going to keep having to tell myself this everyday now when i am running, because if anyone knows me i dont like running the actual thought of it bothers me. AND YES THIS IS A BLOG ABOUT ME RUNNING.  i have never liked to run but i LOVE the way my body feels when i am done running. Even after the 13.1 miles that i thought was gonna "kill me" i still want to run some more.

So since training is getting easier/harder i am gonna be off to bed but as a side note i love this t-shirt

44INCHES

So it amazes me whenever i have to take measurements of my body....BECAUSE....I then realize how big my bottom is. I use this body every day to run and lift weights but i mean hopefully as long as my thighs get smaller i can always wear smaller sizes of clothing cuz i dont think these butt cheeks are gonna shrink.

These butt cheeks help me cross the finish line at over 12 races in my running career.

These butt cheeks help me finish countless spinning classes and many boot camp workouts.

These butt cheeks are looking forward to doing some other fantastic fitness things but fr now they are gonna train for my next 1/2 marathon and hopefully a 5k before January.

Oh, today was a great day because i was able to meet all of the members in my fitness group and they are so cool. They have struggles lie me and they dont always feel like working out and three out of the four are all training for the same Disney World 1/2 Marathon in January. So i am really hyped and looking forward to hanging and chatting with the girls between now and January 7th.

OH AN YES MY HIPS ARE 44 INCHES...lol

Luck of the Irish

Today in Dublin.Ireland more than 13,000 people ran the Adidas Marathon. I plan on being in that number next year, and in fact i wanted to be part of the number that FINISHES the race. I have been making myself become a runner over the years but in the past 11 months i have decided to take it more seriously. I really never thought hat i would start to enjoy the feeling that i get when i run. I mean i wouldn't run for the bus it was that bad but now if i ever had to run after the bus i would so RUN in a heart beat.

So the goal is in 365 years i will be running in Dublin

Almost forgot i am training now for my third 1/2 Marathon  in January in Orlando. i will be running with Mickey, Goofy and hopefully Donald (I LOVE THAT DUCK)
